Some treatments cannot be carried on at home. For a kidney patient who needs fluid therapy, a patient fresh out of surgery, or a poisoning case that has to be watched hour by hour, the safest place is a well-equipped inpatient unit.
What happens in our hospitalization unit?
Every admitted patient has a fixed daily plan. Which medication at what time, when they will be fed and which values will be monitored is all on record. Indicators such as body temperature, appetite, stool and urine are checked at regular intervals and entered in the file. It is against those records that we judge the response to treatment.
Cats and dogs stay in separate sections. Barking from the next cage does nothing for a cat trying to recover. Patients suspected of carrying an infectious disease are kept in isolation.
You are part of the process
Leaving your pet at the clinic is a hard feeling, we know. So throughout the stay we keep you regularly informed. You hear about every significant change in their condition, and whenever you wonder how things are going, you can call and ask. When the patient's condition allows it, visits are possible too.
We do not keep patients in longer than necessary. As soon as a patient can be cared for at home, we discharge them and walk you through the home care step by step. The aim is to get your companion back to familiar surroundings, and back to you, healthy and as soon as possible.
