Diet Planning

Nutrition is one of the most neglected corners of pet health. A bowl that is always full does not mean the feeding is going right. Excess weight is becoming steadily more common in pet cats and dogs in Turkey, and it lays the groundwork for everything from joint trouble to diabetes.

Who is diet planning for?

Not only overweight animals. Puppies and kittens in their growth phase, pregnancy and nursing, the metabolic shift that follows spaying or neutering, the senior years, and chronic conditions of the kidneys, liver or urinary tract all call for a tailored feeding plan. A share of allergic skin problems also traces back to the food.

How we work

It begins with an exam. We establish the current picture through weight, body condition score and, where needed, blood values. We talk through what your pet eats now, how often, and the habits around food at home. Treats and scraps from the table included, because the picture only makes sense when it is complete.

Then we draw up a plan around the goal. Which food, how many grams a day, how many meals: we put it in writing, precisely. We do not deal in vague advice. Weigh-ins at follow-up visits let us track progress together, and we update the plan when it is needed.

We never hurry weight loss. Losing weight too fast can trigger serious liver problems, in cats especially. Slow and steady is the healthy way.
